After breakfast at your riad or hotel, meet your driver-guide for our 3-day Morocco tour from Fes. We will drive through the Saiss plains to Ifrane, known for its contemporary architecture and as a winter vacation destination for residents. Continuing through the cedar forests, we’ll reach Azrou, a Berber settlement in the Middle Atlas Mountains.
We’ll visit a colony of Barbary macaques to observe and photograph them. Then, we’ll proceed to Midelt for lunch. Midelt is the commercial and agricultural center of the area, known for its mines and sophisticated apple orchards.
In the early afternoon, we will arrive in the Ziz Valley, known for its date palms and Kasbah cities. You’ll feel the desert as the landscape changes dramatically. In the late afternoon, we will settle in a resort at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga.
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll head to the village of Khamlia, where you’ll be captivated by authentic gnawa rhythms. Following this, we will take an off-road route to explore the dunes and stop for tea with nomads in traditional Berber tents.
This immersive experience offers a glimpse into a different way of life, and you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a Berber pizza for lunch. In the late afternoon, you’ll prepare for an extraordinary camel trek into the heart of the dunes to witness the spectacular sunset before resting in the camp.
Upon arrival at the camp, you’ll be greeted with mint tea before heading to your comfortable tent, complete with bathroom and shower, while the Sahara lights up with its impressive night colors. A musical performance around the campfire enhances the charm of the desert night as you dine.
We leave the desert after breakfast to explore the city of Rissani, the ancient metropolis of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a significant commercial center of the region, with a bustling souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
We will head to Erfoud to visit one of the fossilized marble workshops, following a leisurely walk through the Rissani souk.
Next, we will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley as we travel along the Ziz River. We’ll have free time for lunch in Midelt. Then, we will head to the Cedar Forest, home to the Barbary macaques. Feel free to feed them while exploring the forest.
We will then pass through Ifrane, famous for its alpine-style houses, snow, and low temperatures. It’s no wonder it is known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Your accommodation in Fes is the final destination of the 3-day tour from Fes to the desert where we will drop you off.

HVerificada An amazing experience, I really recommend MOROCCO COMPANION TRAVEL and MOHA is the best tour Gide I ever know After hearing about MOROCCO COMPANION TRAVEL from a friend, I finally fulfilled a lifelong ambition of mine to go to Morocco. I went on a tour with three other companions, and I booked it directly with MOHA, the owner and guide. Was without a doubt one of the most memorable experiences of my life! The most incredible vacation ever! Everything worked out beautifully! The whole time, MOHA was incredible. He was kind, courteous, and polite, and he showed us the beauties of Morocco. The nine days spent travelling were filled with such breathtaking scenery, and his automobile is immaculate and well-equipped. My favourite part was spending the night in a tent in the Sahara Desert and riding camels around the desert. It was also interesting to see how people live in the hectic city of Marrakech. MOHA did a great job selecting each of the Riads. Even though our flight was delayed, he was there waiting for us at the airport, and he was the one who drove us there in the end. The MOHA was excellent in every way, which made our stay in Morocco one of the most memorable times of our lives. The highlight of the trip was getting to know the Berber people; they are a free people, and they are simple, pleasant people who always welcomed us with a cup of great hot tea. I have the utmost confidence in recommending MOROCCO COMPANION TRAVEL to anybody and everyone, and I can't wait to use their services once again. We are grateful to MOHA for showing us around your beautiful land. Over the course of 12 days, we traveled through Morocco. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our guide and driver Youssef took us from Casablanca, drive through Rabat, Chefchaoen, Fes, crossing the Merzouga desert, Atlas mountain range, until we arrived in Marrakesh. Everything was perfect: hotels, local guides, tours. And, believe me… Youssef learned to speak Portuguese!!!
