    Day 1: Fes – Midelt – Merzouga

    After breakfast at your riad or hotel, meet your driver-guide for our 4-day Morocco tour from Fes. We will drive through the Saiss plains to Ifrane, known for its contemporary architecture and as a winter vacation destination for residents. Continuing through the cedar forests, we’ll reach Azrou, a Berber settlement in the Middle Atlas Mountains.

    We’ll visit a colony of Barbary macaques to observe and photograph them. Then, we’ll proceed to Midelt for lunch. Midelt is the commercial and agricultural center of the area, known for its mines and sophisticated apple orchards.

    In the early afternoon, we will arrive in the Ziz Valley, known for its date palms and Kasbah cities. You’ll feel the desert as the landscape changes drastically. In the late afternoon, we will settle in a resort at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga.
