Day 1: Fes – Midelt – Merzouga

After breakfast at your riad or hotel, meet your driver-guide for our 4-day Morocco tour from Fes. We will drive through the Saiss plains to Ifrane, known for its contemporary architecture and as a winter vacation destination for residents. Continuing through the cedar forests, we’ll reach Azrou, a Berber settlement in the Middle Atlas Mountains.

We’ll visit a colony of Barbary macaques to observe and photograph them. Then, we’ll proceed to Midelt for lunch. Midelt is the commercial and agricultural center of the area, known for its mines and sophisticated apple orchards.

In the early afternoon, we will arrive in the Ziz Valley, known for its date palms and Kasbah cities. You’ll feel the desert as the landscape changes drastically. In the late afternoon, we will settle in a resort at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga.

Day 2: Merzouga – Alnif – Nkob – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Wake up early today to witness the magnificent sunrise, as the dunes come alive with a captivating display of colors and silhouettes. After breakfast, we will ride camels back to Merzouga, meet our driver, and head to Ouarzazate.

Along the way, we’ll stop at the bustling traditional market in Rissani. A vibrant display of colors, fragrances, and sounds will greet you as you wander through the crowded streets of the market, held on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Next, we’ll travel to Alnif before following the picturesque route through the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Skoura Palms – Kasbah Amridil – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Today, we’ll explore the metropolis of Ouarzazate after breakfast at the hotel. Known as “Hollywood of Africa,” Ouarzazate serves as the gateway to the Sahara Desert. The city, home to the famous Atlas Studios and the historic Kasbah of Taourirt, offers a fascinating perspective on Moroccan cinematic history.

We’ll continue our journey to the charming Ait Ben Haddou, where we’ll explore the ancient Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rich in history and immortalized in films.

We’ll bid farewell to this captivating fortress and return to the vibrant city of Marrakech. Our 4-day journey from Fes will take us through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, where we’ll pause to appreciate the intriguing Kasbah of Telouet. Finally, we’ll transfer you to your accommodation in Marrakech.

Day 4: Transfer to Marrakech Airport

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have the opportunity to explore the picturesque streets of Marrakech after breakfast. Later, we will transfer you to the airport, concluding the 4-day desert tour from Fes.
